Finally. After much testing and trials we are able to bring you, the steadfast and enduring troopers and Con goers, a colored Day Blade for trooping when you can't or don't want to have your saber turned on because you can't compete with the sun, or the overhead lights during the many, MANY photo ops and stops you have during your weekend. These blades are light, as light as a normal blade, but offered to you in 4 colors with matching tips. They are no longer dual diffused by default, but we have added it as an option. Dual diffusion is to help reduce overhead glare and standout as the color that's meant to be seen, however they will also light up brilliantly as they are contructed like our world famous blades. *Note: colored blades will affect the color of your blade if you have an off color from the blade color*

*NOTE: We do NOT glue our blade diffusion film to the blade. Please be careful when removing the dust cap, and when removing the blade from your saber not to allow the film to fall out. When we first entered this industry, we had noticed several of our competitors glued the film into their blades and had creasing/krinkling of the film right at the point where the blade flexes the most. Saber blades flex, even when just swinging or spinning around. If you keep the film stationary and the blade flexes, the film will crease. Not gluing the film in allows the film to spiral in on itself and flex with the blade. When we developed our blades, we chose not to glue our film in and it turned out that the film will last much longer without creasing. After many hundreds of blades, we can say that this method allows for a long lasting, even blade. We have blades in the house that have seen years of use with no creasing. The only thing is, you have to take care when removing the blade not to let the film drop out and use your included dust cap to keep dust out, and the film in.

    I've used a few other day-blades, and even with filters, they were very clear and plastic looking in daylight. The blue has a very rich look to it indoors and it looks even better lit-up. My wife was very happy with the look of her blade both indoors and outside. The Red that I used has the same dark look to it but illuminated indoors it looks amazing. Outside, the red color looks great in photo's. This was supposed to be only an outside blade, but I may be using it as much indoors lit up as out!
    I'll see how they look in photo's during the upcoming Dragon*Con parade and update this review!

    The sun is always going to be way more powerful than any LED, and washes out sabers alot to them looking very light pastel in color. The Day Blades help combat this effect to keep blades vibrant outdoors while still letting light shine through like a normal blade. Even indoors they can be used for cool effect to make like colors slightly darker, or in combination with other colored LEDs for coring effects like in The Old Republic and color changing effects.

    Looks great in daylight!!! Light so it is great for cons and trooping. I got the red and purple blades super fast no waiting here!

We do not offer returns on our products as they are handcrafted to order and made specifically for each customer. Should there be an issue with the products function and it is covered under our warranty , we will be glad to service or replace the product at our discretion. In the event that we accidentally ship you the wrong item, of course we will take care of getting you the item you ordered and take care of all shipping charges incurred in making it right.

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Shipping Insurance

All Vader's Vault products valued at $100 or greater will be automatically insured. This means that all 'Sabers' sold here will be insured automatically. Trust us, if you ever need it, you'll be glad you had it, and so will we. The last thing we want to do is eat something because the shipping carrier lost or damaged it, and we're pretty sure you, as the customer, don't want to be out any money.
