In collaboration with Mynock's Den, we present the Acolyte, based on the saber of the Sith Acolyte character from the Star Wars The Old Republic trailers released by Blur Studios in 2011. Taras from Mynock's Den released an absolutely stunning armor set based on the Sith Acolyte character and lamented the lack of accurate, quality saber replicas to go with it. We agreed and decided to fill that gap. We began the arduous task of toiling over screen grabs and concept art, scaling it out and engineering what we believe is the most accurate rendition of that saber to date. All the subtle details from the on screen saber are captured here in a slim, comfortable, two handed hilt in our affordable Combat Class line. We. Have. Returned!

*Update, also in collaboration with Mynock's Den we now are carry a vac formed versions of his Sith Acolyte and Sentinel kits in our armor section pulled from his painstakingly hand creafted ! Check them out here: https://vadersvault.com/armor/ .

these hilts are truly awesome, thin and manageable with a length that works great for 2 hands, and i prefer that the activation switch is more toward the emitter instead of half way down the hilt.

  • No regret

It's a gorgeous hilt with superior craftsmanship!!
The weathering stun me for the first and go well with SWTOR sound font.
Even the long time of wait, I have to say it's worth.

Listen to the force, and you will have no regret.

After a long wait I can really say it is a piece of art. Very bright and loud, customer service is superb and very kind.

I got the RGB as well and see now that was the best option for me.

I really recommend Vaders Vault for all saber enthusiasts

  • Puts the main competition to shame.

Hahaaaaaaaa so it's review time since I'm at work and sad as all hell because I can't mess with my entirely shiny and powerful new toy.

Gonna cover the basics really, and this review will slowly be built upon as I get home and take more pictures and do more comparisons and such. To start, we're gonna do brightness, sound, the look and feel of the hilt, and construction of said hilt.

    1) Brightness.

All Vader's Vault prop lightsabers use a Tri-Cree XP-E2 LED in what is known as their SunCrusher option. These are no joke, and the big thing about VV's version is that they viciously overdrive the module, making these suckers earn their name rather well.

While you won't be seeing it on a bright sunny day, a convention hall floor is no problem whatsoever, and blows Ultrasabers' "Tri-Cree" option clear out the water, and stacks up quite evenly if not better to SaberForge's 12w option.

In addition to being bright as hell, you also obtain both flicker and pulse, simultaneously no less, and flash on clash for just a tad more than a SF Champion Class and let's not even touch what little Ultrasabers has to offer.

    2) Sound.

Pardon my language, but this fucker is loud. Like Kim Catral in Porkies loud. And it's shocking too, because not only is it loud, it's crisp, clean even, and all this from a tiny as hell speaker.

I compared it's size to the one in my Ultrasabers' Shock, and it's less than half the size, with nearly twice the volume, and it's sooooooo mean sounding too, straight up menace to society loud.

And the soundboard itself is a testament to how far modern technology for hobbies has come. The Crystal Shard 3.0 is the size of my thumbnail, and that's not a joke, I measured it. Yet despite it's miniscule stature, it's capable of so much that it puts all of it's competition to shame with relative ease.

If this was an arena, the CS3 would be Superman without a weakness to kryptonite fighting against middle of the road Leaguers.

    It ain't a competition.

    3) Look and Feel.

Unlike the other categories here, this one is entirely subjective because lolart, but to say is ugly would be a stretch. The feel portion of this however is more fact based, and the fact that it's far thinner than damn near everything on the market.

This is a good thing btw, makes it easier to grip and an easier grip means better fighting and better fighting means less grip fatigue, which is better hand health, something my ass sorely appreciates because I have nerve damage all over my body slowly creeping in thanks to MS.

The feel of this is superb, and there is no debate about it.

    4) Construction.
Look, y'all need to calm it the fuck down about thin necks breaking and shit, especially on this hilt.

Ok only for VV hilts so far but for real, you'd have to go sooooooo far out of your way to break this neck that it goes way beyond dueling stresses. Shit is solid as hell man, I could beat a man with it like a cop in a city riot. Seriously it's solid, like zero damn worries.

As for the rest of the hilt, I'll admit I treat it like a delicate rose that'll break but the truth is if you don't treat it like it's garbage, this thing will last for ages. The chassis idea is a sight of genius and needs to be the industry standard, and honestly that's about it, the damn saber is solid, that's it, really, damn tank.
