The Vader's Vault Dual Diffused Blade has been an industry benchmark for custom saber blades since 2008. We have perfected our techniques for producing the most evenly lit, and full looking blades at the same time as eliminating the "light in a tube" effect. Because we know that there isn't a "one size fits all" for blades, there are several options available in the most popular blade lengths. Get one for every saber you have! All VV Dual Diffused Blades now come with a Parabolic Blade tip, and shine through illumination for the tip.

*NOTE: We do NOT glue our blade diffusion film to the blade. Please be careful when removing the dust cap, and when removing the blade from your saber not to allow the film to fall out. When we first entered this industry, we had noticed several of our competitors glued the film into their blades and had creasing/krinkling of the film right at the point where the blade flexes the most. Saber blades flex, even when just swinging or spinning around. If you keep the film stationary and the blade flexes, the film will crease. Not gluing the film in allows the film to spiral in on itself and flex with the blade. When we developed our blades, we chose not to glue our film in and it turned out that the film will last much longer without creasing. After many hundreds of blades, we can say that this method allows for a long lasting, even blade. We have blades in the house that have seen years of use with no creasing. The only thing is, you have to take care when removing the blade not to let the film drop out and use your included dust cap to keep dust out, and the film in.

Bright and VERY durable!!!

Since I got my first blade, I bought two more, a trans white DD and a trans clear DD both in shine through and round tip. Recently took one to a huge lightsaber event in Seattle that hosted all kinds of sabers from Ultra, another company I shall not name, and even those toy sabers for kids. I fought all kinds of blades, even dueled with heavy grade and my VV did not miss a beat. Aside from a few scuffs and requiring a light sanding, it stood against everything opponents had and then some. Do not think because you will be dueling with someone that you need a heavy grade blade, as these light blades are perfectly sufficient to take a beating and keep on going. I can't decide what I like better, shine through or reflective tip. I guess the trade off for each is that the light goes all the way through the blade with shine through but with reflective, the light is reflected back and is a bit more even but the tip is left dim. Either way, great deal for blades. I will return to these always. Two big thumbs up to Vader's Vault!!

The Vader's Vault blades take a little getting used to if you've been using blades from other sabersmiths. Instead of a smooth texture like a neon tube, Vader's Vault uses a kind of "sanded" texture that really brings the light all the way to the surface of the blade. The effect is just spectacular, especially with the way VV sabers flicker and ramp up/down like the real thing.

Definitely follow their advice about using the dust caps - the film is very light, and it will absolutely try to slide out. (I've started holding my blades tip-down when I change them just to protect the film.)

And I highly recommend getting the shine-through tip! It doesn't seem to make any difference in the brightness - the light is still distributed very well from hilt to tip - and it just looks that much more like the "real thing".

I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The blade looks great when lit! The color is even and the bullet tip illuminates nicely. I would highly recommend and will be buying another blade in the not too distant future. To new buyers, please note, VV makes their blades to order, so you'll have to be patient. Mine took about a week to make and ship from the time I ordered it - but it was well worth it :)

My only con with this experience, was that the package arrived pretty damaged. One corner was completely crashed in, and there was a quarter sized hole and heavy creasing in the opposite end... This is not VV's fault though, as they shipped the blade in a sturdy triangle box, and the blade was wrapped nicely in plastic, and foam - my local USPS is just very careless. At first, I was afraid to open the package, for fear that the blade might have been damaged, but to my surprise, it was perfectly fine :) My only recommendation to VV, if I may, would be this: Please consider putting a "Fragile Contents" label/sticker on your packages prior to shipping. Hopefully that'll make the knuckle heads at the post office more cautious and aware.

In conclusion, my overall experience with VV has been pretty darn positive. Great customer service and prompt replies to my emails. You can't ask for more than that!

We do not offer returns on our products as they are handcrafted to order and made specifically for each customer. Shipping Insurance

All Vader's Vault products valued at $100 or greater will be automatically insured. This means that all 'Sabers' sold here will be insured automatically. Trust us, if you ever need it, you'll be glad you had it, and so will we. The last thing we want to do is eat something because the shipping carrier lost or damaged it, and we're pretty sure you, as the customer, don't want to be out any money.
