The Dark Ardent™, a fresh take and Vader's Vault spin on traditional design themes. Our first true "Thin Neck" Combat Class saber, we took extra care that while giving the look, balance and feel of the thin neck, we didn't sacrifice the duel worthy durability of the Combat Class. Meant for the active saberist, this saber is balanced and comfortable, melding with the wielder's hands like it was meant for them since birth. This version is the darker and more shadowy of a traditional saber, with a cloak of smooth flat black powdercoating on most of the surface. Key areas were machined back off to give a chef's kiss of contrast. The emitter is packed with detail, from the elegant rounded rings at the crown, to the 4 sets of light emitting 'gill slits' in the center. The engraved detail around the switch area offers an asymmetrical catch for the eye. Just enough to give the area some contrast. The other side of the switch area offers the chance to add extra flair with an optional SMD LED bargraph or OLED screen, and different frame metals as well. The middle v-grooved grip provides a non-slip surface in a traditional fashion. The rear, vertically milled 'booster' section offers an off-set look to the v-grooved grip. The pommel stands out as a very familiar power cell design with raised cubes, but in a non obtrusive, unique placement, complete with wide sound vents for great volume and resonance control. Amazing colors and sound, great craftsmanship and totally worth the wait of 5 months. I haven't had the opportunity to learn many single-handed sword techniques to really assess its abilities but it is fairly lightweight and seems well-balanced. It was smaller than I'd imagined but fits the hand better than Saberforge or Ultrasabers. I'm wishing I had ordered two with a staff coupler because I imagine spinning would be a breeze. My Saberforge staff saber has sharp edges that cut my hands -- I have to wear gloves. The Ultrasaber staff has a quick release coupler that sometimes comes apart while spinning, not a very attractive feature when you're trying to take out a Sith Lord.

I received my Dark Ardent 20 weeks after ordering. It was well worth the wait. I had my name engraved in Aurebesh and it is just awesome all around. I already dueled with my 7 year old and has help up nicely. The grip is great for true combat, the sound is amazing from that tiny speaker, the features are incredible. I will certainly recommend this product and this Saber Smith to all who are looking for a Saber that is functional, sleek, original and well built. Huge kudos to all at Vader's Vault!!!! Will definitely do business with VV again!!

As my first light saber I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
The craftsmanship is amazing,the hilt feels amazing in my hand, the customer service through out the process was fantastic!
If you are looking at this hilt I would recommend it to any one, and when I am in the market for another lightsaber I will deffinetly come back to vaders vault

The detail on the hilt is just amazing. Electronics seem sturdy and sound is SO incredibly loud.
RGB is also really bright and looks great with the included blade.
I love the flickering, flash on clash, and just options of colours to choose from.
Comparing to the Heavy grade blade I have had with a competitor it is definitely way nicer.

Got the ready to ship version and it was sent really promptly. Only fault I can say is that USPS does not handle customs very well, and used my national post service when arriving which delayed arrival (frustrating but acceptable!). Definitely would rather get a courier company for international deliveries to make customs nicer. Also forgot that I had to pay extra duty / tax when it arrived so just remember if overseas to keep that in mind!

Returns Policy

We do not offer returns on our products as they are handcrafted to order and made specifically for each customer. Should there be an issue with the products function and it is covered under our warranty , we will be glad to service or replace the product at our discretion. In the event that we accidentally ship you the wrong item, of course we will take care of getting you the item you ordered and take care of all shipping charges incurred in making it right.

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Shipping Insurance

All Vader's Vault products valued at $100 or greater will be automatically insured. This means that all 'Sabers' sold here will be insured automatically. Trust us, if you ever need it, you'll be glad you had it, and so will we. The last thing we want to do is eat something because the shipping carrier lost or damaged it, and we're pretty sure you, as the customer, don't want to be out any money.
