The Dark Ardent™, a fresh take and Vader's Vault spin on traditional design themes. Our first true "Thin Neck" Combat Class saber, we took extra care that while giving the look, balance and feel of the thin neck, we didn't sacrifice the duel worthy durability of the Combat Class. Meant for the active saberist, this saber is balanced and comfortable, melding with the wielder's hands like it was meant for them since birth. This version is the darker and more shadowy of a traditional saber, with a cloak of smooth flat black powdercoating on most of the surface. Key areas were machined back off to give a chef's kiss of contrast. The emitter is packed with detail, from the elegant rounded rings at the crown, to the 4 sets of light emitting 'gill slits' in the center. The engraved detail around the switch area offers an asymmetrical catch for the eye. Just enough to give the area some contrast. The other side of the switch area offers the chance to add extra flair with an optional SMD LED bargraph or OLED screen, and different frame metals as well. The middle v-grooved grip provides a non-slip surface in a traditional fashion. The rear, vertically milled 'booster' section offers an off-set look to the v-grooved grip. The pommel stands out as a very familiar power cell design with raised cubes, but in a non obtrusive, unique placement, complete with wide sound vents for great volume and resonance control. This entire saber screams elegance, and power. Get yours today!

  • My first Vader's Vault saber

I am still somewhat new to the saber scene. I have two saberforge sabers and one that I have commissioned someone to build from scratch. So I figured that I would go ahead and see what all the fuss was about when it comes to VV sabers.

Dark Ardent Plectar Pixel has more than surpassed my greatest expectations. The hilt is well balanced and the perfect weight and fits perfectly into my hand. The feel of the hilt screams QUALITY! The sound quality is outstanding as well as the new plectar pixel setup. I would buy more but I have spent almost 4k in sabers over the past year and need to take a slight breather lol.

I can not think of a single negative thing that I would say about this saber. The wait seemed like a long time but quality takes time, great job guys this is an outstanding saber

I still consider myself new to the lightsaber scene. I own two Saberforge and have a custom built lightsaber commissioned with someone else. At first I was looking through the hilts and kind of thought of them as generic and then I finally broke down and purchased one of VV's Plectar Pixel Dark Ardent setup, with the three accent LED setup.

My reaction? I am absolutely in love with it. The balance is perfect, the weight is perfect the volume of the saber is LOUD. Add that to the outstanding effects of the Plectar Pixel and you have the perfect saber. I would GLADLY buy more but am on a self imposed buying freeze after spending almost $4k on sabers in the last year lol

I was originally not an Ardent fan, but the Dark Ardent in Red called to me. Once I added weathering, the grenade-grip mlling, and the three-LED setup, I saw the potential and I was not disappointed!

I own three VV sabers - Havoc, Tempest, and this. I love each of them, but the Ardent provides two things the others do not: 1) It looks the "meanest" of the three, due to the dark finish and grenade-grip billing, and 2) it's the heaviest - I mean that in relation to the others. I love the weight, but it still benefits from light weight of all VV hilts I've handled.

It feels wonderful to wield! The grenade-grip is comfortable and it has that weapon-grade slimness common to VV.

I've never had any issues with sound quality, loudness, or blade brightness with any VV hilt, and the trend continues here. I bring the damn thing to work almost every day.

I was super excited when this finally arrived at my door. About 4.5 months to delivery for mine which was slightly sooner than I was expecting. Pulled it out of it's packaging and it worked perfectly from the start. Being that this is my first quality light saber, I used the video instruction on the website to familiarise myself with all the features. Well done, Vader's Vault.
I chose the Dark Ardent with switchable color option. The colors are very bright and true along the entire blade. The sound is impressively loud. I wish there was a way to turn off the initial start up sound though (I found that if I simply put the pommel of the sword against my body at power up, it will dampen the sound enough). I cycled through the 3 banks of pre loaded sounds and found the one I like best.
The quality of the sword is amazingly well done. The weight is comfortable. All the lights and extra cut outs look fantastic. Nothing feels cheap about it.
I took me saber to my work the next day and I think I may have generated a couple more sales for VV. Everyone had to take a turn swinging it round. We're all just kids at heart.
