I am relatively new to the world of custom sabers as until recently I thought that the FX Master Replica's were the pinnacle of lit sabers with sound. How wrong I was, having found the saber community I started researching all of the sabersmiths online, youtube, saber trader, fx forums etc and one name kept coming up as a high quality company with excellent customer feedback, including from some other UK buyers and that was Vaders Vault. Once I found them I was devastated to find that all three of the sabers that I wanted were limited editions and only available as limited runs. So I waited and I watched and I emailed, waiting for a chance to own a Hero, flex and or Vader but alas, they remained out of reach. That was the case for 6 months until I read the magical three letters RTS on the VV Facebook page. I knew this meant that VV were having a ready to ship sale of sabers that are already installed with no wait time and shipping within a week. I set a reminder in my phone, booked the day off work and logged in 15 minutes early, pressing refresh every few seconds in anticipation for the RTS section appearing on the page and it did. I was so excited to see that there were Hero's available and this was my priority so I found one and added it to cart as the others disappeared in front of my eyes in seconds, I had it at last! I called VV to confirm some details and spoke to Deanna who was lovely, really helpful and I checked out a happy boy. As promised it was shipped in a week but due to UK customs it took a further 3 weeks (and a £120 import charge) to get to me and arrived this morning.
Perfectly packaged I received the charger, 2 allen keys, blade and my absolutely stunning Hero hilt. Words cannot describe how amazing this work of art is. I pulled the kill key and sat grinning as the blinky leds kicked in and then turned it on, this is my first crystal shard install as my other is a NB so the aux button was a great feature and added the blade to see the GGW twi cree lens in action. As you can tell I am still very excited! This Saber is superb quality, it is a really neat install with everything accessible, which is good as I intend to add some fonts to the SD card later. Thank you VV and Deanna for her help in particular, I am a very happy geek today. Just one last thing, hook me up with a Vader ESB, you must have one in a cupboard somewhere as I am too impatient to wait for them to come online, the only thing better than a new customer is a repeat customer, you know my email address :)
